Sochi Invest Weekend 2026: Money, AI, and the Future of the Market

On February 20–23 at Rosa Khutor in Sochi, our partners at Cats.vc hosted an offsite retreat for venture investors, fund representatives, and technology entrepreneurs. Participants discussed the transformation of the investment landscape, key trends, and the opportunities emerging in an era of rapid AI development.

KAMA FLOW Partner Evgeny Borisov took part in the three-day camp as an expert and invited guest. He spoke at several sessions dedicated to the implementation and development of AI technologies. In Evgeny’s view, the growing influence of artificial intelligence is changing not only products and corporate strategies but also prompting investors to reflect and rethink previous approaches: “There’s a sense that artificial intelligence is here to stay: we’re only beginning to understand how to use the technology and how to invest in it. That’s why we discuss it so actively—it’s less about a ‘bubble’ and more about finding practical meaning. At the same time, everyone is concerned with how AI is changing the social fabric: everyone is thinking about this—from developers and investors to everyday users. And we don’t know where we are on the hype cycle: this uncertainty simultaneously opens a window of opportunity for investors and creates anxiety—maybe we’re already past the peak, and tomorrow industry leaders will have a down round and the market will swing. It’s a new, unfamiliar feeling, especially for private investors.”
