The results of the research of the analytical company Dsight "Venture Eurasia: results of 2022", conducted with the support of Kama Flow, have been published.

According to Dsight data, a record low number of transactions were closed in Russia in 2022 — 139 against 306 in 2021. The total volume of venture financing decreased by 68% — from $2.93 billion to $819 million. In 2022, investment activity was reduced by all participants of the venture market. But most of all — corporations and corporate funds, private funds also significantly reduced the volume of project financing — by eight times, from $1.3 billion to $158 million. The business software industry has become the leader in the number of transactions in 2022.

Pavel Okhonin, Executive Director of Kama Flow, believes that it is certainly not necessary to talk about a return to the growth rates of the market of previous years. "Despite this, we hope that in 2023 we will see new private and public funds not only of early, but also of late stages, including those related to industrial innovations," Pavel said.
